«My hope is to contribute to our understanding of penguins and to their conservation, so that future generations, too, will be able to experience these animals on our planet.»

Three Questions for Klemens
What motivated you to join the Antarctic Research conservation project?
Penguins aren't just charming creatures—they're also guardians of the oceans. So when we take steps to protect them, the entire ecosystem benefits.
An unforgettable moment in your project?
There have been so many over the years that I don't want to single out just one. But I always enjoy simply watching the penguins go about their daily routines after a long day.
What is your biggest wish for your project?
To contribute to our understanding of penguins and their well-being—so that future generations, too, will have the opportunity to experience these animals on our blue planet.
