Your Event at the Zoo
Celebrate your birthday in the heart of the Masoala Rainforest or your company anniversary with a view of the Lewa Savannah. Our event team is here to assist you every step of the way, from planning through to execution of your event.
We offer a variety of unique venues for your special event—from brunch at Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park to a cocktail reception among the big cats, a training seminar at the Nature Workshop, or a banquet at Masoala Restaurant.
Venues for Your Event
With giraffes and rhinos: Lewa Savanna. Various event spaces for everything from receptions to flying dinners. Accommodating up to 150 people. Pictured: Kifaru Lounge.
With the elephants: Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park. Everything from receptions to banquets is possible. Accommodating up to 100 people.
In the heart of the rainforest: Mora-Mora Bar. From receptions to banquets. For intimate celebrations, accommodating up to 40 people.
With the big cats: Panthera. For receptions, substantial receptions and flying dinners. Accommodating up to 200 people. Available only from April to October and after the zoo closes (6 pm).
With penguins and fish: Aquarium. Everything from receptions to intimate banquets is possible. Accommodating up to 130 people.
South American flair: Restaurant Pantanal. For buffets or banquets. Accommodating up to 350 people. Pictured: Rio Paraguay venue.
Overlooking the rainforest: Restaurant Masoala. For buffets, flying dinners or banquets. Accommodating up to 220 people.
Tradition meets modernity: Restaurant Altes Klösterli. Five different rooms accommodating up to 100 people, for receptions, lunch or dinner/banquets. Pictured: Bauernstube.

Special: Small Group Offer
For small groups of up to 30 people, we offer a particularly attractive package deal that includes a one-hour guided tour followed by a one-hour cocktail reception. The cocktail reception begins no later than 7:00 p.m.

Our venues are ideal not only for parties but also for work retreats. Step outside your own four walls and work with your team in the relaxed setting of the zoo. Our Event Terms and Conditions
Every event here at the zoo includes a guided tour. Exceptions: Altes Klösterli Restaurant and Zoo Caffè & Ristorante.
Event Times
At certain locations, such as the Masoala Restaurant, the Nature Conservation Center, the Ubele Pavilion, and venues within Panthera, we hold events only after the zoo closes (March through October starting at 6:00 p.m., November through February starting at 5:00 p.m.). At other locations, events may also be held during opening hours, depending on capacity.
Out of consideration for the animals, evening events at the zoo are subject to time restrictions: until 10:30 p.m. in the animal enclosures, and until 11:30 p.m. at the Pantanal Restaurant, the Masoala Restaurant, and the Thailodge in the Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park. We’d be happy to tell you about the different options.
Interactive Tours
Admission to the zoo is included in the tour price.
Languages: German and English. French and Italian upon request.
Free tickets and annual passes are not valid for special events.
