Three questions for Manoon

What motivates you to work for the Kaeng Krachan Conservation Project?

Compared with other protected areas in Southeast Asia, the Asian leopard can be observed relatively easily in my project area. Even so, there have been very few studies to improve our understanding of this charismatic big cat.

What has been an unforgettable moment in your project?

The first time one of my camera traps photographed an Asian leopard and I saw the image.

What is your greatest wish for your project?

I hope that my project will continue or even be expanded so that we can learn more about how predators and prey interact in the wild. This knowledge will be extremely valuable for other wildlife programmes in the region.

Our hearts beat for nature
