Bennett’s wallaby

Notamacropus rufogriseus

Wallabies are small kangaroos that live in Australia and feed exclusively on plants.

Least Concern

Wallabies belong to the kangaroo family. They are relatively small species of kangaroo that are found mainly in wooded and scrubby areas. Like all kangaroos, they are strictly herbivorous. As there are no deer or antelopes in Australia in the wild, kangaroos fulfil the ecological niche of grass-eaters and herbivores here.
