Children's Birthday Party

Our FTZ volunteer team looks after the birthday child and guests throughout the celebration.

• Cost: CHF 38.– per child (includes one-day admission). We charge for a minimum of 5 children. Up to 2 accompanying adults are free. Annual passes and other discounts are not valid for this experience and cannot be applied.

• Participants: 5 to 10 children, including the birthday child; max. 2 accompanying adults.

• Language: We offer this program in German. 

Please make your reservation well in advance (at least 3 weeks before the celebration). This experience is very popular and often booked up well in advance.

A Journey of Discovery to Find Your Favorite Animal

Age: 6 to 10 years.

The children visit two favorite animals of the birthday child. The rest of the program includes cake for an afternoon snack, drinks, and a group craft activity. The favorite animals must be located in the same section of the zoo to keep walking distances short.

This experience finishes near Zoolino.

Dates: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.; Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Excludes holidays.

Expedition in the Lewa Savannah

Age: 6 to 10 years.

The children set off on an expedition to the Lewa Savannah. There, they’ll get to know the savanna animals (giraffe, zebra, rhinoceros, hyena) and pay an educational visit to the porcupines. The rest of the program includes cake for an afternoon snack, drinks, and a group arts-and-crafts activity.

This experience finishes near Zoolino.

Details: This experience is only available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., except on holidays.

Masoala Rainforest

Age: 8 to 10 years.

The children go on an exciting discovery tour through the Masoala Rainforest and learn about different plants and their fruits. A special highlight is the walk along the adventure trails. Afterward, everyone heads to the children’s birthday party room, where cake and drinks await the birthday party guests. Together with the team of volunteers, the children make creative keepsakes that they can take home at the end of the party.

About sharp-toothed and eerily beautiful reptiles

Age: 6 to 10 years.

The children get to see reptiles up close and then visit them in their natural habitat at the zoo. The program also includes cake for an afternoon snack, drinks, and a group craft activity.
