Three questions for Citra

What motivates you to work for the Sumatra Conservation Project?

Love – for nature and for people.

What has been an unforgettable moment in your project?

Every moment when I am alone in the forest and can appreciate how orderly and balanced nature is. Equally, when I am with local communities and sense how deeply these people want to protect nature, despite feeling powerless at times.

What is your greatest wish for your project?

That the Jantho Nature Reserve and all its inhabitants will be protected by the local communities from generation to generation. I hope that community members will actively participate in managing the reserve, recognise the value of the ecosystem and benefit directly from protecting it.

Our hearts beat for nature
