Red List
Not Evaluated

Dahomey dwarf cattle are a purebred breed; they have not, therefore, been bred to be small through cross-breeding with other breeds. Their tongues and throats are blue in colour. They are very hardy in both hot and cold weather.

Dahomey cattle are very sure-footed and can be used for grazing on slopes. Due to their size and light weight, they cause hardly any trampling damage and can be used as an alternative to sheep in agriculture.
