You are not allowed to feed the animals yourself.
It is possible that the meerkats may not be interested in food due to weather conditions or because of changes in their family groups. However, this rarely happens; as a rule, the animals are hungry and curious.
Please arrive at the venue at least five minutes before the event begins. The experience starts on time.
For your own safety, please wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals, flip-flops, etc.).
Nature Conservation Donation
All proceeds from the giraffe feeding go entirely to our Lewa Nature Conservation Project in Kenya.
Season
The Meerkat Experience takes place during the summer months, from April through the end of Zurich's fall school break.
Implementation
For animal welfare reasons, we cannot always guarantee that an experience will take place. We decide each day by 9 a.m. whether the experience will take place that day. If you have booked a ticket for a canceled experience, we will notify you immediately. Please note that we cannot refund the ticket in the event of a cancellation.
